Should You Get a Bike? (And Which One)
Every week, someone walks into Platoon Cycles and says some version of the same thing:
"I don't really know anything about bikes. I just… kind of want one."
That's a perfect place to start.
You don't need to know the difference between a road bike and a gravel bike. You don't need to know what a derailleur is. You just need to know a little bit about your life — and we can figure out the rest together.
Here are three people who walked in not knowing what they wanted.
Person A drives to work every day, mostly out of habit. The commute is short — maybe 10, 15 minutes by car. Traffic is annoying. Parking is annoying. But somehow it never occurred to them that a bike might just... solve that.

Person B has weekends free and nowhere to go. They've watched other people ride along the river path and thought it looked nice. Not competitive. Not intense. Just something to do outside that isn't a gym.

Person C isn't sure yet. They just moved here, they're still figuring things out, and a bike feels like it might make Korea feel a little less like a waiting room.
Recognize yourself in any of these? Good. Let's figure out what kind of bike actually fits.

Quick Quiz — No Bike Knowledge Required

- C) I'm open. I just want to be outside doing something
Q3. Where would you actually ride?
- A) Streets, paths around base, getting from A to B
- B) The river trails, bike paths, maybe longer routes on weekends
