DOPE South Is Rolling — And You're Invited
Yesterday, 23 riders hit the road together for a DOPE South group ride — 50km on safe, dedicated bike paths. No racing, no drop rides. Just good people, good vibes, and a solid day on the bike.

What is DOPE? (DOPE 소개)
D.O.P.E Cycling Club is a cycling community based in Seoul, made up mostly of foreigners living in Korea. It's not about how fast you are or what bike you ride — it's about showing up and riding together.
Platoon Cycles is a proud sponsor of DOPE, and we've been part of this crew since the beginning.
DOPE South — Pyeongtaek Chapter (평택 지부)
Over the past year, more and more riders from the Pyeongtaek area — many of them stationed at Camp Humphreys — have started joining DOPE rides. The interest grew so much that a southern chapter is now forming around the Pyeongtaek region.
We're calling it DOPE South for now, and it's exactly what the riding community down here has been missing: a regular, organized group ride where you can meet other cyclists, explore Korea's incredible bike paths, and actually enjoy your time on the bike.
Yesterday's Ride (어제 라이딩 요약)
| Detail (항목) | Info (내용) |
|---|---|
| Riders (참가 인원) | 23 |
| Distance (거리) | ~50 km |
| Route (코스) | Dedicated bike paths (자전거 전용도로) |
| Pace (페이스) | Social — no-drop, safe ride |
Whether you've been riding for years or just picked up a bike last week, this is the kind of ride where everyone belongs.
After the Ride (라이딩 후)
The ride was only half the fun. After rolling back in, everyone gathered at Platoon Cycles for a potluck — riders brought food to share, and we hung out, swapped stories, and just enjoyed the post-ride energy together.
We also ran a raffle with some prizes to cap off the day. If you've ever wondered what the cycling community in Pyeongtaek looks like — this was it. Good rides, good food, good people.

Want to Join? (참여 방법)
It's simple:
- Visit dopecycling.com to learn about upcoming rides
- Stop by Platoon Cycles — we'll connect you with the group and make sure your bike is ride-ready
- Show up and ride — that's it
You don't need a team kit. You don't need a carbon bike. You just need to want to ride.
Why It Matters (왜 중요한가)
PCS orders come and go, but the connections you make on the bike can last well beyond your time in Korea. DOPE gives you a crew from day one — people who know the roads, the paths, and the best places to grab coffee after a ride.
And if your bike needs a tune-up before the next ride? You know where to find us.
See you on the road.
Platoon Cycles — Proudly sponsoring D.O.P.E Cycling Club
